The challenge tests on food products have been continuously increasing since RegCE 2073/2005 was issued in 2005, which put in evidence the need to carry out growth tests of Listeria monocytogenes strains in some ready-to-eat foods. The Epta Nord laboratory has accredited the ANSES EU-RL fot Listeria Monocytogenes vers 3 2014 chap 3.2.1 method to carry out challenge tests on food products with Listeria Monocytogenes in order to verify their behavior in food until the end of its commercial life.

The most studied microorganisms are:

  • Escherichia coli
  • Staphyloccus aureus
  • Yeasts and molds
  • Salmonella spp

The results obtained are given  in a report in order to show a complete view of the study performed.
